October 11, 2007 - The Cumberland County Library System has received notification that its newly formed Cumberland County Library System Foundation has received public charity status from the Internal Revenue Service. As a 501 (c)(3) organization, the Foundation may now receive tax deductible gifts and bequests from individuals or organizations to benefit countywide library services.
