Shippensburg Public Library gets $500,000 state grant for expansion

Shippensburg Public Library will receive a $500,000 grant from the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation fund for upgrades and repairs.

The library, housed in a historic home at 73 W. King St., is involved in a capital campaign for an expansion.

The money can be used to pay up to 50 percent of Americans With Disabilities Act improvements, new roofing, replacement windows, energy efficiency upgrades to heating and cooling systems, new construction and expansion.
