📚 FAQ Category: Account Questions
Why does the library ask me to pick a PIN number when I register for a card?
You must provide a personal identification number (PIN) when registering for a card. You will use your PIN to renew items, place holds, and use the library's Internet resources.

If our telephone notification system does not reach you on the first day, a notice will be printed by the library and sent via U.S. mail. Also, the library sends some billing notices for long overdue items by U.S. mail. Email customers will be emailed their billing notices.

Missing Email Notices?
Email companies are getting stricter with mass mailing services and that includes the library's hold and overdue notices. We're learning library notices are unexpectedly being filtered into spam and junk folders.
Here are some tips for you as we work toward better solutions:
- Check your Spam or Junk mail folders for library notices. Mark library emails as "not junk" or add the library email addresses to your contact list.
- Know your due dates.
- Know how to view and manage your account online. Library staff are happy to help!
- Try to set your email account to allow emails from the following addresses: (not guaranteed to work)
- amelia@cumberlandcountylibraries.org
- bosler@cumberlandcountylibraries.org
- eastpennsboro@cumberlandcountylibraries.org
- fredricksen@cumberlandcountylibraries.org
- johngraham@cumberlandcountylibraries.org
- newcumberland@cumberlandcountylibraries.org
- shippensburg@cumberlandcountylibraries.org
- mechanicsburg@cumberlandcountylibraries.org
- ccls@cumberlandcountylibraries.org
- cclsnoreply@cumberlandcountylibraries.org

How do I recover my library account PIN?
