America Reads On!
Read with Amelia Givin Library this summer to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the land we love! You have 9 weeks to complete 13 different summer reading challenges. Complete only as many as you want - it's up to you! Click here to view or print a challenge kit, or pick one up at the library front desk. You also have the option of completing the challenges using the Beanstack App or Beanstack website. This program is for adults and teenagers (those who are rising 6th graders and older). Please use only ONE way to submit your entries - online or on paper.

Honor the past, celebrate the present and read your way into America's next chapter.
You have 9 weeks to complete up to 13 different summer reading challenges!
Challenges may be completed in any order. Complete as many as you want – it’s up to you!
Report your completed reading challenges on Beanstack OR use the paper entriy forms. Last day for entries is August 7th.
PARTICIPATION GIFTS - CHALLENGE PINS
No matter how you track your reading challenges, be sure to stop in the Amelia Givin Library to pick up the corresponding Summer Reading Challenge Pin for each challenge you complete! These 1-inch collectible pins, custom-made by the Amelia Givin Library, will commemorate each reading challenge you complete this summer.
TIP: Don’t wait until the end of the summer reading program to collect your pins…these special edition pins will be gone forever after August 7th. Only one pin per person, per challenge. Participants will not be allowed to pick up pins for others; may pick up 3 different challenge pins per library visit.
13 PRIZE DRAWINGS
At the end of the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge, there will be 13 prize drawings:
(participants are not able to win more than one of the twelve drawings)
Ten prize drawings – One for each of the 10 Summer Reading Challenges!
Prizes are $25 gift cards to local establishments that we all enjoy.
One prize drawing for participants that read 8 books from at least 4 different challenges!
Prize: $50 Amazon Gift Card
One prize drawing for participants that complete all 10 reading challenges!
Prize: $50 Amazon Gift Card
One prize drawing for participants that read a total of 250 chapters or more during the "America Reads On!" Summer Reading Challenge
Prize: $50 Amazon Gift Card
In addition, ALL Summer Reading Challenge Participants will receive a prize for participating!
10 CHALLENGES
NOTE: A different book must be read for each of the 10 Summer Reading Challenge drawings. Complete only one, or as many as you like!
We the People: Read a book about a key figure in U.S. independence OR by an author born in the USA.
The Red, White & Blue: Choose a book with either “red”, “white” or “blue” in the title OR any of those colors on the book’s cover.
Sweet Land of Liberty: Adventure through of one of our National Parks in the pages of a book OR read a book about travel!
Purple Mountain Majesty: This is the BIG one! To complete this challenge, read a book with 500 pages of more!
Home of the Brave: Pick a book that depicts/honors one of the six military branches: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Space Force.
Stars & Stripes Forever: Read a mystery or thriller featuring a parade, a BBQ, fireworks, a marching band, or an eating contest.
From Sea to Shining Sea: Choose a book about pioneers expanding westward OR a book set in an American port city.
Amber Waves of Grain: Read about an agricultural topic (non-fiction) OR a storyline rich in farm-life (fiction/non-fiction).
God Bless America: Select a book about those who protect us – first
responders or everyday heroes – OR a book about rebuilding lives.
Out of Many, One: Choose a book about another culture OR a book about collaboration, belonging, community, or teamwork.
