An in-person gathering inviting you to bring your own book (and summertime camp chair!) for shared reading time. Bring one or two of your favorite titles to share with fellow readers looking for that perfect vacation book. Age 18+

Thursdays, 12 pm in the Small Meeting Room
Learn short, easy 15-minute meditations to calm the mind. Led by Buddhist nun, Kelsang Chonzdin, a teacher and practitioner of almost 20 years, these meditations are suitable for people of any religion. Everyone is welcome! No registration necessary.

Join this casual and fun conversation group. Some experience in the language is necessary. Expert leaders will guide you through discussion, conversation and culture of the language. No registration necessary. *NO SESSION JULY 4th

Preserving the tradition of American community and town bands, the Greater Harrisburg Concert band will feature an evening of humor and outstanding music including patriotic tunes and marches. The band’s conductor and music director is Dr. William Stowman of Messiah University.
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Our Teen Advisory Group will be selling popcorn and refreshments or feel free to bring your own. All concerts are free to the public. Concerts are held on the west lawn next to the lower parking lot. No registration necessary. Sponsored by McCormick Family Foundation. (No rain date)
June 10 - 13, 9 am - 12 pm
Join us for Food, Farm & Garden Camp where you will learn about farming and gardening, and how those systems relate to the food we eat. Activities include mushroom grow kit, working in the vegetable garden, seed prep, and more. Ages 10 - 12.
Adventure begins at the library this summer with our free summer camps! Camps are designed around themes and include reading, discussion, hands-on activities, special library programs, and conclude with group lunchtime. Each morning, camper goers will meet in the children’s library before spending time outside.
Families will need to provide a brown bag lunch, water bottle, and ensure their child has sunscreen applied as the children will be spending time outdoors weather permitting. Healthy vegetarian snacks will be provided. If your child has food allergies/sensitivities or has a special diet, please pack snacks for your child and notify our librarian programmers about food allergies/sensitivities/diet.
Camps are limited to 15 individuals. A waitlist will be enabled. If you registered for a space your child can no longer keep, please cancel the reservation so another child on the waitlist can register. REGISTER

Adult English language learners can practice conversational English in a safe and welcoming environment. The one-hour weekly sessions will be held from 7 pm – 8 pm and are led by a trained volunteer teacher. Registration is required. Interested in scouting? This troop formation meeting is open to girls ages 5 through 18 and their parents. This informal gathering is an opportunity to learn about scouting and how girls can have fun while being empowered. Light refreshments and an activity will be provided. No registration required.
