Theme: Murder at the Luau Party 

Our mystery party will challenge you to solve a crime. Sounds easy? Not so fast. While solving the crime you’ll need to stay in an assigned character role, keep secrets, drop clues and watch the ticking clock! This program is for tweens ages 9-12. Registration is required. 

 Sun City is a small town outside of Hollywood that is a celebrity vacation destination with beautiful beaches, excellent weather and wonderful resorts. Darby Cerulean, a local magician of Sun City, is hosting a to-die-for backyard luau party. Everybody in Sun City is talking about what an epic party this will be. Rumors have flown around the grapevine that Darby’s guest list might not be exclusively the crème de la crème of high society, but why should anybody question Darby’s motives? 

Darby promises that it will be a fun time in the sun with exciting party games, wonderful luau-inspired delicacies, and stimulating conversation. You have received your invitation, and it is time to pick out your most festive luau attire for the party. This is where your story begins. 

9:30 am Children’s Library
We are taking our storytime and adding sparkle! Each month a Disney book will be selected and a coloring page or craft associated with that story will be available. These Disney Storytimes are also great times to dress up as your favorite character from the monthly story. Recommended ages 3 - 5. 
 

10 am in the Community Room
Get ready to explore, create, learn, and experiment in our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) monthly meetups. STEAM activities are a great way to discover concepts and promote skills that are scientific, creative, and collaborative. Adult Supervision required. Recommended ages 3 - 5 years old. No registration required.
 

Saturday, July 13 at 1:30 – 2:30 pm, Courtyard or Community Room 

Bring your best doll or stuffed friend and join us for a tea party! You and your friend will play games, make crafts, and, of course, enjoy snacks and drinks. Recommended ages 6 – 10. Registration required.

The Air Weaver Super Terrific Happy Funtime Balloon Show of Pure and Complete Awesomeness! (Big Balloon Show for short) connects to kids and adults of all ages and brings together magic, balloon artistry, storytelling and tons of audience engagement for a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience.     Recommended Ages 0 –18. No registration required.  

6:30 pm, Community Room
We are so excited to welcome back, Ryan Bridge, “The Bug Man,” to Fredricksen Library! He will present an all-ages event focusing on how people are taught to dislike and thus, be afraid of bugs and insects. Breaking stereotypes and common fears about the most important creatures on our planet, he will teach everyone that “nothing in Nature WANTS to harm us.” Best of all, everyone will have a chance to pet and hold Live Bugs! Keeping insect education fun and exciting, audiences will experience the world of Entomology like never before! Recommended ages 0 - 18 years old. No registration required.
