Vaccine Safety and Medical Play Story Time
10 am Community Room, Lower Level
Please join the South Central PA Medical Reserve Corps for a fun-filled medical play story time to address the fears children often experience when going to the doctor to get a vaccine and to teach them about the way vaccines keep our bodies healthy. Children will have the opportunity to share their feelings and concerns regarding vaccines and will receive age-appropriate education on the importance of going to the doctor. At the conclusion of the story, children will have a chance to play with a medical toy kit and give a pretend vaccine to a stuffed animal. Our primary goal is to ease the fears surrounding vaccines and help children feel more comfortable. Resources will also be available for accompanying adults. All ages welcome; no registration necessary.
