Join us each week for Kindergarten Prep and to explore a book. We will read the story, then participate in crafts and activities that relate to the story.  

Recommended ages 3 to 6 years old. Registration required.

Specially trained dogs from K-PETs will be at the library to listen to children read aloud. This program is helpful to children who may be shy or reluctant to read aloud and will encourage them to practice reading independently. For budding readers.

Get ready to explore, create, learn, and experiment in our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) open discovery stations. STEM stations will be set up for self-guided activities where children can discover concepts and skills that are scientific, creative, and collaborative. 

Recommended ages 3-5 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required. 

4:00 pm in the Kunkle Creation Station

Build good budget habits and learn about savings, setting financial goals, weighing wants and needs, and how to resist impulse purchases. Recommended ages 8-10. Registration required. 

6:30 pm in the Community Room

Volunteers from the Harrisburg/West Shore Chess Club will be on hand to assist young chess players and match up competitors. Join us and have fun! Participants are asked to bring a chess set, if possible but not required. Recommended ages 5 to 13. No Registration Required.

Join us again for a magical event with the artists from the Pennsylvania Ballet Academy! In this story-based movement class, you get to be part of the action. We'll dance our way through the story of The Nutcracker and see dances performed by PBA. For boys and girls ages 3-8. Siblings welcome. Sneakers recommended.

Get ready to plant, harvest, and tend to our One Seed Grows children's educational vegetable garden.  Participants will also learn about hydroponics, composting, nutrition, biology, and more!
