Volunteers from the Harrisburg/West Shore Chess Club will be on hand to assist young chess players and match up competitors. Join us and have fun! Participants are asked to bring a chess set if possible, but not required. No registration required. Ages 5 - 13.

Join us each week for Kindergarten Prep and to explore a book. We will read the story, then participate in crafts and activities that relate to the story. Recommended ages 3 - 6 years old. Registration required.

Each month we will read about an American Girl character, then meet to discuss each girl. During our meetings we will get to know each other and our favorite American Girls. Bring your American Girl or friend (Our Generation, etc.) doll with you to participate in activities. Recommended ages 8 - 12. Registration required.

This interactive talk will provide practical advice and answer your questions to help make water activities both fun and safe for everyone.

Join us again for a magical event with the artists from the Pennsylvania Ballet Academy! Want to be in a fairy-tale? In this story-based movement class, you get to be part of the action! We'll skip and jump our way through the story of Peter and the Wolf and see dances performed by PBA. For boys and girls ages 3-8. Siblings welcome. Sneakers recommended. 

11 am, Storytime Nook in the Children’s Library (no Storytime on May 26)

Storytime is a beloved tradition that helps set the foundation for a joy of reading. Children's Storytime engages participants with fun dynamic early learning activities with books, songs, and movement. Recommended ages 2 and up. Registration not required.

10 am in the Storytime Nook of the Children’s Library  

Join Miss. Monet on Thursday, April 3rd @ 10 am for our "It's Okay To Be a Grouch" storytime! We'll be featuring stories with lovable literary curmudgeons, i.e., Grumpy Monkey, Oscar the Grouch and Alexander who always has a terrible, horrible day. A themed craft will be provided and stuffed animal friends are always welcome to attend! For ages 0 - 6. No registration required.
