Come celebrate love of all kinds with us! We will read a love-themed story for Valentine’s Day and make a sweet fingerprint heart magnet to take home. Masking is required for all participants.
 

Ages 3-6
No Registration Required
Practice letter recognition with a fun spring activity for early learners. In this alphabet matching game children will match the upper and lowercase raindrops to the same letter on the umbrellas. Available at the Children’s Desk starting Saturday, May 28. No registration required but supplies are limited.
 

Ages 5 and up
BOOM! Make your yard or garden explode with flowers with this fun science activity. Available at the Children’s Desk starting Saturday, April 16. No registration required but supplies are limited. This activity is part of Longwood Garden’s 2022 Community Read of We Planted A Tree. This activity will allow kids to learn and see how plants grow!
 

Ages 3 and up

Create a bright spring bouquet with no more than felt, buttons, and pipe cleaners! Bonus: these flowers will stay pretty forever! Available at the Children’s Desk starting Saturday, April 9. No registration required but supplies are limited.
 

Ages 8-12
Registration Required
School curriculums cover the classics, but we also think it’s important to highlight culturally significant and world-expanding stories featuring diverse characters. In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander month, our May book pick will be A Single Shard by Linda Sue Park. Participants will receive a copy of the book which must be returned, and will have a chance to discuss the book with peers.
 

Ages 3-7

One Monday a month, join us for a storytime & activity celebrating the arts! Music, theater, poetry, drawing, anything creative that inspires our imaginations. Masking is advised for all participants.
