Join us for our film discussions! Much like a book group, you will watch the film then if you like, join us for a moderated discussion. Watch the film at the library at 2 pm or watch it on your own. You must have watched the film to participate in the discussion. No registration for discussion.

Join us on Fredricksen’s lawn all summer as we welcome talented performers for an evening of music and song. We will kick off summer with our annual concert with Trinidad & Tobago Baltimore Steel Orchestra as they bring a touch of the Caribbean to the library. This stunning group, named Baltimore's official steel drum band, are masters of the steel drum. Their vivacious tropical music rounds out a lively show for all ages!

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Our Teen Advisory Group will be selling popcorn and refreshments or feel free to bring your own. All concerts are free to the public. Concerts are held on the west lawn next to the lower parking lot. No registration necessary. Sponsored by McCormick Family Foundation.

Medicare is health insurance for people 65 or older. You’re first eligible to sign up for Medicare 3 months before you turn 65. You may be eligible to get Medicare earlier if you have a disability. This program will cover all the basics of Medicare including parts and options you may have when you enroll. REGISTER

Join Debbie Naha-Koretzky, “The Wild Edibles Lady,” for a foraging adventure to discover the edible plants of our area. The program will include a slide show, a taste of wild tea, and a foraging walk on the Fredricksen Library grounds. Debbie is a registered dietitian/nutritionist, Rutgers Master Gardener, Pennsylvania Master Naturalist, certified science teacher and wild foods author. Registration required.

6 pm, Community Room
Don't miss our yummy Cupcake Decorating Competition. We'll supply the cupcakes and a pantry of decorating supplies. You'll have 60 minutes to plan and decorate your cupcakes and then we'll begin tasting and judging. This program is for teens ages 13-18. Register online.

June 1 – July 29
Our Annual Teens Create Contest gives teens a chance to display their incredible creative skills to inspire our community. Submissions will be accepted in 5 categories:
1. Short Story (includes original and Fan Fiction short story)
2. Poetry
3. Painting and Illustration
4. Photography
5. Digitally Created Print Art
Submit your creative works July 15 - 29. Judging will take place August 1 - 16 and exhibited August 1 - August 30. Awards will be announced August 16. You may submit 1 entry in each category. Entry forms including category rules will be available for download June 1. Registration is required.

Our new Teen S.T.E.A.M. Escape Room series challenges you and your friends to escape the themed room. This program is for teens ages 13 - 18. Registration is required.

Our Teen STEAM group will be taking a journey to the Moon. Over the course of 3 sessions, we will place ourselves on a virtual Lunar Base as we study the upcoming NASA Artemis missions. This program is for teens ages 13-18. Registration required.
