A Look at the Night Sky

The program will include how early people mapped the stars and catalogued them with names we still use. Facilitated by Lou Thieblemont, Resident Astronomer for Viking Ocean Cruises. Shinrin-Yoku: A Nature Meditation Practice

This Japanese practice, known as forest bathing is a relaxation technique to destress, calm the mind, and improve well-being. Presenter Justin Ferko, a certified forest bathing guide, will lead the workshop that includes a closing tea ceremony. Participants should be prepared for being outdoors. Registration required. Join the Susquehanna Chapter of the Embroiderer’s Guild of America and learn a little about the fascinating history of the craft as well as current trends. There’s also an opportunity for participants to try their hand at a stitch or two. Anyone with an interest can join in the fun, even if you’ve never stitched before! Kits are provided.
