Camp Hill High School will present a preview of their fall play: Peter and the Starcatcher for Fredricksen Library! Experience a glimpse of this family friendly prequel to the classic story of the Boy-Who-Would-Not-Grow-Up (a.k.a Peter Pan). From a wildly theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s best-selling novels, comes an adventurous tale of marauding pirates, jungle tyrants, and unlikely heroes. Peter and the Starcatcher playfully explores the depths of greed and despair… as well as the bonds of friendship, duty, and love. No registration necessary.

Synopsis: A young orphan and his mates are shipped off from Victorian England to a distant island ruled by the evil King Zarboff. They know nothing of the mysterious trunk in the captain’s cabin, which contains a precious, otherworldly cargo. At sea, the boys are discovered by a precocious young girl named Molly, a Starcatcher-in-training who realizes that the trunk’s precious cargo is starstuff, a celestial substance so powerful that it must never fall into the wrong hands. When the ship is taken over by pirates – led by the fearsome Black Stache, a villain determined to claim the trunk and its treasure for his own – the journey quickly becomes a thrilling adventure.

Story time is a beloved tradition that helps set the foundation for a joy of reading. Children's story time engages participants with fun, dynamic early learning activities with books, songs, and movement. In the case of inclement weather, story time will be held in the Community Room. For ages 2 +. Registration required.

Help your child with their kindergarten readiness. Mission Transition allows your child to practice skills that will benefit them in kindergarten, meet other students from their school, and build their confidence as they begin their educational journey. Miss Kayla will work with students who will be entering kindergarten in the fall of 2022. Registration required.

9 am - 9:45 am, Community Room 
Join Ann Fields, founder of Peaceful Poses Kids Yoga, for an adult slow flow yoga class. This new class at Fredricksen will explore yoga poses, breathing techniques and ways to deal with stress and anxiety. This 45 minute class is open all levels and no experience is necessary. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle and yoga mat. Ann has her E-RYT-200, RCYT and is an adjunct instructor at HACC. Registration recommended.
