Author Visit - Meet Sophia Nelms

book6:30 pm in the Community Room, Lower Level
Meet Sophia Nelms of Sophia’s at Walden with her new cookbook, From the Kitchen at Sophia’s. Ms. Nelms grew up in a large Greek family in the greater Harrisburg area. Family meals around the table are very important in Greek culture – a tradition of bonding over one of life’s greatest pleasures. Pursuing food as a career was natural for her. After working for others, she opened a bakery stand at the Broad Street Market in Harrisburg, followed by restaurants in Camp Hill and Mechanicsburg.

Always asked by her guests for recipes, she was reluctant to give away her “trade secrets”...until now! In her new cookbook, From the Kitchen at Sophia’s, she shares her favorite recipes and those of her guests.

Join us for a brief presentation regarding the creation of the cookbook; then pick a cookbook up for yourself. Additionally, you will be treated to some fun giveaways. Register by Thursday, September 15 and be entered to win a basket of goodies inspired by the cookbook. The program is FREE. However, cookbooks will be available for purchase and autographed. Registration is open.
