The Friends of Fredricksen will hold Donation Station on the first Saturday of each month to accept donations of books and media for their Book & Media Sales. To drop off donations, please park in the lower parking lot off Walnut Street close or near the sidewalk. Donations of one box or less can be brought to the Reference Desk whenever the Library is open. Thank you for thinking of the Friends when you have extra books.

Plot Twisters is a dynamic teen writers group open to writers of fiction, fan fiction, manga, poetry and more. Writers bring samples of works in progress and encourage each other to stay on track to reach writing goals. This program is for teens ages 13-18.

Monday, January 20; 1 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the Community Room 

If you like puzzles, you are invited! There will be a group puzzle to work on as well as a puzzle for youngsters to complete. Light refreshments will be available to keep up your energy to complete the puzzle. A special thank you to all who helped complete the puzzles in the Atrium -- we will be awarding prizes (at 8 p.m.) to the individuals that put in the last piece of each of those puzzles. No registration necessary – stop by when you can! 

10 am in the Storytime Nook of the Children’s Library

Join Miss. Monet on Thursday, January 2nd @ 10 am for a New Years storytime celebration! The books featured will be Boys Don’t Fry by Kimberly Lee, Grumpy New Year by Katrina Moore, and Ruby’s Chinese New Year by Vickie Lee. A themed craft will be provided and stuffed animal friends are always welcome to join! Recommended for ages 0 - 6.

Volunteers from the Harrisburg/West Shore Chess Club will be on hand to assist young chess players and match up competitors. Join us and have fun! Participants are asked to bring a chess set if possible, but not required. No registration required. Ages 5 - 13.

Join us to learn the art technique used by our featured artist of the month. Miss Kayla will teach the technique, then you get to create your own art using that method. Bring your own inspiration and ideas! Recommended ages 8 to 12. Registration required.
