Wednesday, July 3 – Lily and the Octopus by Steven Rowley 

Join us for Moving Forward, a book discussion series geared towards those who have suffered a loss or tragedy and could use an infusion of hope. In cooperation with Hospice of Central PA, we will be reading books focusing on the redemptive power of the human spirit. Join us this month as we discuss Rowley's novel about Ted and “his steadfast companionship of Lily, his elderly dachshund. . . Lily and the Octopus reminds us how it feels to love fiercely, how difficult it can be to let go, and how the fight for those we love is the greatest fight of all.” Ages 18 +. You must have read or listened to the book to attend. Registration is required.

Tuesday, July 9– A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court by Mark Twain 
Join us as we discuss Twain's comedic social satire about the adventure of nineteenth-century Hank Morgan “finding himself in Camelot, King Arthur’s England, facing a world whose idyllic surface masks fear, injustice, and ignorance.”

9:30 am Children’s Library
We are taking our storytime and adding sparkle! Each month a Disney book will be selected and a coloring page or craft associated with that story will be available. These Disney Storytimes are also great times to dress up as your favorite character from the monthly story. Recommended ages 3 - 5. 
 

10 am in the Community Room
Get ready to explore, create, learn, and experiment in our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) monthly meetups. STEAM activities are a great way to discover concepts and promote skills that are scientific, creative, and collaborative. Adult Supervision required. Recommended ages 3 - 5 years old. No registration required.

Bring your best doll or stuffed friend and join us for a tea party! You and your friend will play games, make crafts, and, of course, enjoy snacks and drinks. Recommended ages 6 – 10. Registration required.

The Air Weaver Super Terrific Happy Funtime Balloon Show of Pure and Complete Awesomeness! (Big Balloon Show for short) connects to kids and adults of all ages and brings together magic, balloon artistry, storytelling and tons of audience engagement for a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience.     Recommended Ages 0 –18. No registration required.

Handicap chess allows players of different experience levels to play a competitive game of chess. The more experienced player will start the game with fewer pieces. The greater the difference in experience, the greater the amount of removed pieces. Players can play regular chess if they prefer. Participants are asked to bring a chess set, if possible, but it is not required to participate. Participants who want to expand their horizons are welcome to try other games of strategy. Beginners are welcome. Feel free to drop in when you can and leave when you need to. No registration required. Ages 14+

Enjoy seeing a jigsaw puzzle come together? Just grab one or two from your own stash and join fellow enthusiasts in choosing, assembling and enjoying the selected puzzle – a 300-500 piece puzzle is suggested, one that can be assembled in the allotted time. Drop in when you can and leave when you need to. No registration necessary.
