Paragon of People's Music - Woody Guthrie

Woodrow Wilson Guthrie was an American singer-songwriter and composer and one of the most significant figures in American folk music. Woody’s themes of American socialism and anti-fascism inspired several generations both politically and musically with songs such as "This Land Is Your Land".  Presented by guitarist, singer and West Chester University professor, Doug Morris. All are welcome!

Join Central Pennsylvania’s own music legend Shea Quinn and his band of Friends for Fredricksen’s grand finale summer concert. The theme, “A Day at the Zoo,” will feature music made famous by bands with animal names.

Summer Concert on the Lawn - Greater Harrisburg Concert Band

7 pm - Miller Family Courtyard/Walnut Street (no rain date) 
Preserving the tradition of American community and town bands, the Greater Harrisburg Concert band will feature an evening of humor and outstanding music including patriotic tunes and marches. The band’s conductor and music director is Dr. William Stowman of Messiah University. 

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Our Teen Advisory Group will be selling popcorn and refreshments or feel free to bring your own. All concerts are free to the public. Concerts are held on the west lawn next to the lower parking lot. No registration necessary. Sponsored by McCormick Family Foundation. (No rain date)

Summer Concert on the Lawn - Trinidad & Tobago Baltimore Steel Orchestra

Join us on Fredricksen’s lawn all summer as we welcome talented performers for an evening of music and song. We will kick off summer with our annual concert with Trinidad & Tobago Baltimore Steel Orchestra as they bring a touch of the Caribbean to the library. This stunning group, named Baltimore's official steel drum band, are masters of the steel drum. Their vivacious tropical music rounds out a lively show for all ages!
