Add some color to your life! Join as as we partner with National Night Out for our annual Tie-Dye Family Camp.
Bring your family to the police station next door for a tie-dye program. Bring 1 t-shirt or other white item per person to dye.
This sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) reptile rescue and education organization from Amish country, Pennsylvania.
Our mission is to give reptiles a chance, by rescuing reptiles that need our help, and by providing fun outreach programs to spread our love of reptiles.
In collaboration with the Shippensburg History Center, come travel back to 18th-century America and enjoy the traditional games and pastimes played by children and families in the 1700s!
From classic outdoor activities to table-top games, this camp brings history to life through play.
Gather your family for this colorful adventure to bingo the night away together and walk away with some bookish prizes.

Fredricksen Library is happy to host our annual Summer Reading Program and Go Cumberland Challenge running June 1st - August 15th! The entire family can sign up to track their reading minutes, visit trails at our local parks, win lots of prizes, and enjoy family events at our library.

Children participating in the summer reading challenge will have the opportunity to win weekly raffles on top of our All Ages GRAND PRIZES. All you need to do is enter our Summer Reading Challenge anytime between June 1 and June 15. You can double your chances by getting a new, or renew your old, library card. Stop by the library to enter the Grand Prize Raffle.

Monarch Butterflies

Each child attending with their grownup will decorate their own planter to take home a Milkweed plant (the essential host plant for Monarchs), empowering them to support butterfly conservation right at home. Registration required.

As the fireflies begin to glow, step into the strange and wonderful world of Pennsylvania’s cryptids. Join folklorist Rissa Miller at twilight for a family-friendly evening of local legends. No registration necessary.
