The Air Weaver Super Terrific Happy Funtime Balloon Show of Pure and Complete Awesomeness! (Big Balloon Show for short) connects to kids and adults of all ages and brings together magic, balloon artistry, storytelling and tons of audience engagement for a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience.     Recommended Ages 0 –18. We are so excited to welcome back, Ryan Bridge, “The Bug Man,” to Fredricksen Library! He will present an all-ages event focusing on how people are taught to dislike and thus, be afraid of bugs and insects. Breaking stereotypes and common fears about the most important creatures on our planet, he will teach everyone that “nothing in Nature WANTS to harm us.” Best of all, everyone will have a chance to pet and hold Live Bugs! Keeping insect education fun and exciting, audiences will experience the world of Entomology like never before! Recommended ages 0 - 18 years old. No registration required.

10:30 am on the Lawn Being a REPTILE is an adventure! These ectothermic animals are buried alive as babies, they grow up as orphans, and they learn how to survive without teachers or parents! Jesse Rothacker shares his house with over 100 of these cold-blooded creatures. Come laugh and learn with Jesse and his scaley sidekicks, and check out some animal books, too! Recommended ages 0 – 18. No registration required. 

10 am - 12 pm in the Community Room 
Join us all summer long for fun drop-in craft programs! This session we'll be doing Christmas in July. For children of all ages; ages 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult. No registration necessary. 

Wednesday, July 24, 3 – 5:00 PM  Community Room  

We are bringing back our game systems and some great games. Stop by the play on Wii, Nintendo Game Cube and XBOX 360 on 3 screens. You can also bring along your own handheld gaming system and challenge friends to play. We will also have a few tables for board games, cards games and chess. This program is for tweens and teens ages 9-18.

EXTRA! EXTRA!! Join our journalism club! This summer, teens and tweens can work together on a newspaper. Assignments will include interviewing staff and patrons, writing book and movie reviews, covering the 2024 Olympic Games, covering large library events like concerts and performers, writing about our garden and more. We will publish 3 issues of the newspaper (name to be decided at the first meeting). This program is for tweens ages 13-18. Registration is required.
