Ages 5-12
Drop-In (No Registration Required)
Start off your summer by making a handmade journal to collect photos and mementos from your summer adventures! We will read a story and then get creative with this fun project. Held inside the Children’s Room.
Come join the fun on Thursday, May 23 at 6:00 pm, here at the library with Super Reader, children's author Floyd Stokes!
Join Floyd Stokes as he shares his picture books and hosts a POPCORN PARTY! Dutch Wonderland tickets will be given to the first 50 people who attend! See this flier for more information.

Preserving the tradition of American community and town bands, the Greater Harrisburg Concert band will feature an evening of humor and outstanding music including patriotic tunes and marches. The band’s conductor and music director is Dr. William Stowman of Messiah University.
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Our Teen Advisory Group will be selling popcorn and refreshments or feel free to bring your own. All concerts are free to the public. Concerts are held on the west lawn next to the lower parking lot. No registration necessary. Sponsored by McCormick Family Foundation. (No rain date)

Storytime is a beloved tradition that helps set the foundation for a joy of reading. Children's storytime engages participants with fun dynamic early learning activities with books, songs, and movement. Recommended ages 2 and up. *No session on 6/19 (Juneteenth--Library Closed) and on 7/3.

Join us on Fredricksen’s lawn all summer as we welcome talented performers for an evening of music and song. We will kick off summer with our annual concert with Trinidad & Tobago Baltimore Steel Orchestra as they bring a touch of the Caribbean to the library. This stunning group, named Baltimore's official steel drum band, are masters of the steel drum. Their vivacious tropical music rounds out a lively show for all ages!

Andrew knows a thing or two about ADVENTURE. He's been lucky enough to travel all around the world performing his silly circus tricks. Come out to your library this summer to see him in person and be entertained by his juggling, comedy and tales of adventure. Recommended ages 0 – 18. No registration required.
