Join us for our 2022 Summer Reading Program for all ages! Earn badges, prizes, and tickets for the grand prize drawings by reading and logging whatever you like and doing activities related to Oceans of Possibilities! Beginning June 1, register at fredricksen.beanstack.org and then stop by the library to grab your summer reading grab and go bag (for Adults and Children while supplies last).

Get ready for an amazing line-up of performances during our 18th annual Summer Concert Series that will keep you moving and grooving all summer long. Let’s rock and bring the house down at the library like only Shea Quin & Friends can do! Bring your dancing shoes, wear your favorite concert t-shirt, and join us for a fun-filled night of music as they present 50 Years Gone – The Music of 1972! All concerts are free to the public. Popcorn and beverages will be sold during the events or you can bring your own refreshments with you! Make sure you bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy the music in the great outdoors. Concerts are held on the west lawn next to the lower parking lot. No registration necessary. Sponsored by the McCormick Family Foundation. (Rain or shine! The concert will be moved indoors if needed.)

Join us as the West Shore Symphony Orchestra delights us with the concert theme Southern "Hemisphear", featuring orchestral music of South and Central America and southern United States, with accordion soloist Marcos Krieger. We will kick off summer with our annual concert with Trinidad & Tobago Baltimore Steel Orchestra. Join us for a dynamic evening as they bring a touch of the Caribbean to the library. This stunning group, named Baltimore's official steel drum band, are masters of the steel drum. Their vivacious tropical music rounds out a lively show for all ages! All concerts are free to the public. Beverages will be sold during the events or you can bring your own refreshments with you! Monday, June 14 – Monday, July 26
Enter our Annual Teen Creative Expression Contest. Submissions will be accepted in 5 categories: painting/illustration, photography, poetry, short story, and a new category--audio/visual. Submissions are accepted June 14 - July 26 and will be on display in the library and/or shared on the library's Facebook page in August. The best entry in each category will be chosen by a panel of judges and the winners will receive $50. You may enter once in each category. Winners will be announced in mid August! For teens ages 12 -18. Download the contest rules!
