Wee Build Open Play

Wee BuildHands-on learning builds strong brains! For babies through age 6. No registration needed. Just drop in between 9:30 am and 12:00 Noon on Fridays for open play and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) building activities and imaginative play. 

WEE BUILD

Come build with us! Through play, your child discovers shapes, learns how blocks can be balanced, observes how they fall, and discovers what fits together. These playful explorations are the foundation of later mathematical and scientific thinking – plus it's fun!

STEAM Discovery Play - Preschool

stem10 am in the Community Room

Get ready to explore, create, learn, and experiment in our STEAM (Science, Technology, Art, Engineering, and Math) open discovery stations. STEAM stations will be set up for self-guided activities where children can discover concepts and skills that are scientific, creative, and collaborative. Adult supervision required.  

Recommended ages 3-5 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

Peaceful Poses Yoga Storytime for Preschoolers

yoga10 am, Library Lawn or Community Room
Yoga classes and story times designed just for kids! Join Ann Fields, founder of Peaceful Poses Kids Yoga, for some mindful movement, deep breaths, and ways we can learn about our feelings. We read books, listen to music, and move our bodies. Recommended ages 2.5 - 5 years old. Registration required.

Grandparents' Day at the Library

Grandparents DaySaturday, September 6 at 9:30 am. Grandparents are invited to join their grandchildren for a celebratory storytime! We will read books, sing songs and rhymes, and make a craft for you to enjoy on Grandparent's Day and all year long!  Our organized activities will be followed by a fun open play time in our play area for all ages to enjoy! This program is geared toward grandparents and children aged 0-7 years old. Registration is limited and required. Click here to register.

Storytime with Sign Language

2PM - Storytime Nook in the Children’s Library

Join us for an exciting American Sign Language (ASL) Storytime! Our special host will share stories and teach children key signs to take part in the program. Students of the Cumberland Valley ASL Club will also stop in to help read books aloud. We will then send children home with a coloring sheet or craft to help remember the ASL they have learned. Recommended ages 3 to 5. No registration required.
