Help us decorate our display case for the month of December! This month, participants are challenged to design a LEGO creation inspired by the classic children’s book, The Polar Express! The winner will receive a free LEGO set. Drop off your submission to the Children's Desk by Saturday, December 6th.

Come celebrate Earth Day at the Library and create your dream garden – in a box! We will read a story about a garden and then provide all the materials you need to create your own miniature garden to take home. This program is supporting our Longwood Gardens Community Read partnership – each registrant will be entered to win a family admission pass to the gardens this summer!
6 pm in the Kunkel Creation Station
Get ready to explore, create, learn, and experiment in our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) monthly meetups. STEM activities are a great way to discover concepts and promote skills that are scientific, creative, and collaborative. Each STEM program includes concept learning and experimentation, or creation of a project based on the topic. Recommended ages 8 - 10 years old. Registration required.
March – Under the Sea
6 pm in the Kunkel Creation Station
This program developed by Jane Goodall is a youth service program which helps empower young people to become leaders who build a better world. The mission of the program is to foster respect and compassion for all living things, to promote understanding of all cultures and beliefs, and to inspire each individual to take action to make the world a better place for people, other animals, and the environment. Recommended ages 8-12. Registration required.
6:30 pm in the Children's Library
Specially trained dogs from K-PETs will be at the library to listen to children read aloud. This program is helpful to children who may be shy or reluctant to read aloud and will encourage them to practice reading independently. For budding readers, ages 6 - 12. Registration required.
