Join us for Art Camp where you will learn about different artists and artistic styles. Activities will include looking at works by famous artists, replicating art by the artist, and creating our own art using their style. You will learn about: Andy Warhol and Frida Kahlo. Ages 8 - 12.

Adventure begins at the library this summer with our free summer camps! Camps are designed around themes and include reading, discussion, hands-on activities, special library programs, and conclude with group lunchtime. Each morning, camper goers will meet in the children’s library before spending time outside.  

Families will need to provide a brown bag lunch, water bottle, and ensure their child has sunscreen applied as the children will be spending time outdoors weather permitting. Healthy vegetarian snacks will be provided. If your child has food allergies/sensitivities or has a special diet, please pack snacks for your child and notify our librarian programmers about food allergies/sensitivities/diet. 

Camps are limited to 15 individuals. A waitlist will be enabled. If you registered for a space your child can no longer keep, please cancel the reservation so another child on the waitlist can register. REGISTER

Join us for Food, Farm & Garden Camp where you will learn about farming and gardening, and how those systems relate to the food we eat. Activities include mushroom grow kit, working in the vegetable garden, seed prep, and more. Ages 10 - 12.

Learn about the importance of Monarch Butterflies and their habitats. Registrants will also create their own Monarch habitat and take home a Monarch Caterpillar to raise. Recommended ages 8 – 12. Registration required.

Hey, Barbie! Calling all Barbie fans, bring your Barbie to Fredricksen Library for a Barbie party! Dress like your favorite Barbie, bring a Barbie with you, and walk the runway in our Barbie fashion show. Plus, enjoy a Barbie story and crafts. Meet other Barbie fans as you join our Barbie scavenger hunt. Practice your Barbie knowledge as you work in teams during our Barbie Trivia challenge. Recommended ages 8-12. Registration required.

Throughout the summer, hike the chosen parks and trails in Cumberland County to find the secret codes to enter in Beanstack! Program runs thought August 15. See booklet for more details. Come out to your library this summer to see him in person and be entertained by his juggling, comedy and tales of adventure. Recommended ages 0 – 18. No registration required.

If you’re serious about having a ridiculously good time, it would be preposterous to watch anyone other than “Ridiculous Nicholas”! Recommended ages 0 – 18. No registration required.

Want to be in a fairy-tale? In this story-based movement class, you get to be part of the action! We’ll skip and jump our way through the story of Coppelia and see dances performed by PBA. For boys and girls ages 3-8. Siblings welcome. Sneakers recommended. No registration required.
