This summer we are opening our STEM lab, The Kunkel Creation Station, to families. Choose from 3 time slots and bring your curiosity – we’ll supply games, gadgets, machines and more. You may register up to 6 people and must include at least 1 adult or sibling over the age of 16 to lead your group. Staff will be on hand to assist. Registration required.

Each month we will read about an American Girl character, then meet to discuss each girl. During our meetings we will get to know each other and our favorite American Girls. Bring your American Girl or friend (Our Generation, etc.) doll with you to participate in activities. We will move inside or switch to Zoom in the case of inclement weather. Recommended ages, 8-12. Registration required.

1 pm – 3 pm, July 9, Community Room
Bring your creativity and drop in anytime between 1 pm and 3 pm to use our supplies and paper to do some DIY paper-crafting, including scrapbooking and card making. Project ideas will be available. We will also have a table for making cards for children who receive items from Caitlin’s Smiles. For all ages: under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

June 1 to August 15 on Beanstack
Let’s get outdoors this summer! Join us for Cumberland County’s first ever GO Cumberland challenge for all ages. Beginning June 1, register at fredricksen.beasntack.org, and then pick up a GO Cumberland booklet (one per family) at the library. Throughout the summer, get out and go hiking. Enter the secret codes you discover and be entered to win prizes. See booklet (avail. June 1) for more details. Sponsored by Wellspan and Cumberland County Library System.

Join us for our 2022 Summer Reading Program for all ages! Earn badges, prizes, and tickets for the grand prize drawings by reading and logging whatever you like and doing activities related to Oceans of Possibilities! Beginning June 1, register at fredricksen.beanstack.org and then stop by the library to grab your summer reading grab and go bag (for Adults and Children while supplies last).
