Calling all Pokemon Superfans! Meetup to play TCG or Pokemon Go. We will have Pokemon snacks, contests and other surprises. Whether you are just beginning your Pokemon journey or you are a seasoned trainer you need to be here! Feel free to bring along your device including tablets, Switches and phones. This program is for tweens AND teens ages 9-18. Parents may stay to play with their children. Adults without a child will not be admitted. Registration is required and begins February 17.

Book Dragon Club: Craftivism

3:30 - 4:30 PM in the Kunkel Creation Station    

Our new Book Dragons Club is your place to meetup with other teens who love to read and be creative. There will be a slate of programs under the banner of “Book Dragon Club” including writing programs, craftivism programs, open mic nights, social meetings, reading challenges, civic engagement and more all dedicated to celebrating teens and the Humanities.  These programs are sponsored by the PA Humanities Council. These programs are for teens ages 13-18.

Express your activism through crafts! In each session we will talk about civic engagement and empowerment, and you will create something to express your own cause. This program is for teens ages 13-18. Registration is required and begins March 12.

Join us for an afternoon of board games, card games, games of skill and strategy. Fun for the entire family. The library has a stash of games to choose from or you are welcome to bring your own. Ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. No registration necessary.

Book Keepers meets monthly to discuss the best of YA literature. Each month you will get a book to keep. Some months we will all read the same title, some months we will all read our own choice and share our reactions. This program is for teens ages 13-18. Each month we will read about an American Girl character, then meet to discuss each girl. During our meetings we will get to know each other and our favorite American Girls. Intro to Digital Photography Series

pic6 Mondays: April 14 - May 19 from 6 pm – 7:30 pm in the BCC Classroom
Do you have a DSLR or mirrorless camera and aren't sure how to use it? Are you still taking photos using only the AUTOMATIC mode? If you answered yes, then this is the perfect class for you! Each class, taught by instructor & photographer, Michael Yatsko, will begin with an exploration of a new topic followed by some hands-on application of the technique or idea. Weekly assignments will also be given to reinforce what has been learned in class. During this class you will learn about the history of photography and cameras, the science behind how a DSLR camera works, the exposure triangle - aperture, shutter speed and ISO, many different composition techniques, lenses, and much, much more. In order to participate you need to have a DSLR or mirrorless camera.

$150 fee covers all six classes. Ages 13+; Seating is limited and will be held in the Business & Career Center Classroom. Registration is required: $150 fee covers all six classes.

One Seed Grows Kids Garden Club

grow4:30 pm, Kunkel Creation Station and Garden
Get ready to plant, harvest, and tend to our One Seed Grows children’s educational vegetable garden. This family program has hands-on activities focused on food, farming, gardening, and nutrition. In-season activities include planting, watering, plant removal, seed harvesting, composting, and more. Please wear closed toe and closed heel shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Children ages 8 - 12. Registration required.
