Practice your interview skills with an HR professional! This 30-45 minute session will consist of a simulated interview for a position you are interested in and an evaluation offering strategies for improvement. Dress for the part, do your research and come practice your interview skills!
Please be sure to include a brief description of or link to a job listing that you are interested in AND to email a resume (and cover letter and / or other supporting materials if you wish for them to be considered and evaluated) to frebiz@cumberlandcountylibraries.org at the time of registration. 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM in the Community Room
This round table discussion will apply the Socratic Method to help delve into philosophical discussions and give you an opportunity to share your opinions in a neutral and respectful way without interruption. Each month, the group will choose a philosophical issue and everyone attending will have the opportunity to learn and discuss with others in an open and respectful environment. What a great way to expand your mind and reach further with your thoughts! Ages 18 +.
6:30 PM - 8:30 PM in the Small Meeting Room
What is a Death Cafe? It is a safe, supportive and informal gathering where people can chat openly about death, dying, and grief. The Café offers a space for sharing thoughts and feelings, asking questions, and connecting with others in your community, all while enjoying light refreshments like cake and drinks. Come as you are and feel welcome to participate in the conversation at your own comfort level. Facilitated by Philadelphia native Isaiah Troche, an End-of-Life Doula/Death Doula who also serves as a volunteer with Hospice of Central Pennsylvania.

November - Fox by Joyce Carol Oates (2025)
Francis Fox is a charming English teacher new to the idyllic Langhorne Academy with a very enigmatic biography. When two brothers discover Fox's car half-submerged in a pond in a local nature preserve and parts of an unidentified body strewn about the nearby woods, the entire community, including Detective Horace Zwender and his deputy, begins to ask disturbing questions about Francis Fox and who he might really be.
