Ta’i ch’uan and Qigong

Stress management, balance, strength, relaxation and flexibility are all benefits of learning t'ai chi ch’uan and qigong. Great for people getting back into exercise after a hiatus or people rehabbing after an injury or illness who need something gentle. This one- hour workshop with Chinese martial arts instructor, Juli McGreevy, is suitable for fitness fans of all levels. Registration required.

The New Cumberland Olde Towne Association invites you to their Outdoor Summer Movie Series. On August 12 they will be showing Over the Hedge at the Library. Bring your own blanket, lawn chair, sleeping bag, or other lounging apparatus to the Library lawn to enjoy the show. You are welcome to bring snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic only). We’ll be starting the movie at 8:30 p.m., but folks are invited to gather a little early to get settled.
If you’ve got an iPad and you think you’re not using it to its full potential, join experienced teacher James Gates in this face-to-face class to explore the many uses of the iPad that you may not know. This is a 6-week course—please plan to attend all sessions.
