Do you have a DSLR or mirrorless camera and aren't sure how to use it? Are you still taking photos using only the AUTOMATIC mode? If you answered yes, then this is the perfect class for you! Each class, taught by instructor & photographer, Michael Yatsko, will begin with an exploration of a new topic followed by some hands on application of the technique or idea. Weekly assignments will also be given to reinforce what has been learned in class. During this class you will learn about the history of photography and cameras, the science behind how a DSLR camera works, the exposure triangle - aperture, shutter speed and ISO, many different composition techniques, lenses, and much, much more. In order to participate you need to have a DSLR or mirrorless camera. $150 fee covers all six classes. Ages 13+; Seating is very limited. 9 am – 11 am in the Community Room, Lower Level
Learn how to perform hands only adult and child CPR and use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Certifications are offered through the Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI) and are valid for 2 years. Certification cards will be issued upon completion of the training class. Cost for the class, instruction manual and certification card is $15 per person. Ages 12 and up. Register via the Peyton Walker Foundation.

Every year Americans pause on Veterans Day to celebrate and honor our veterans for their service. Join us for an evening reflecting on the American veteran experience during the Vietnam War as a panel of local veterans from the Vietnam War will speak on their personal experiences and answer questions from the audience during a Q&A section. Registration is required.  

1st & 3rd Tuesdays of each month, 6 pm - 8:30 pm

Come and join your fellow military history aficionados in a meaningful discussion about battles and other military events ranging from circa 1000 BCE up to recent military history. The first half of the discussion will focus on the facts of the battle and the second half will be dedicated to opinions and conjectures about the battle. Everyone will be given equal time to participate in both halves of the discussion. We will wrap up the roundtable with a vote on the topic for the next session. The three priorities for this group are having fun, learning new things, and hopefully developing new friendships. Registration suggested, but not required. Ages 16+. *Topic will be Campaign of Waterloo
