Bring your creativity and drop in anytime from 1:30 to 3:30 pm to use our supplies and paper to do some DIY paper-crafting, including scrapbooking and card making. Project ideas will be available. Feel free to bring your pictures and your own supplies to work on your ongoing projects. We will also have a table for making cards for children who receive items from Caitlin’s Smiles.
For all ages: under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration and masking is required.

*There will be a limited number of grab and go bags for those who cannot attend the program. Available on a first come first served basis, no registration necessary for bags.

This round table discussion will apply the Socratic Method to help delve into philosophical discussions and give you an opportunity to share your opinions in a neutral and respectful way without interruption. Each month the group will choose a philosophical issue and everyone attending will have the opportunity to learn and discuss with others in an open and respectful environment. What a great way to expand your mind and reach further with your thoughts! Ages 18 and up, please. Registration begins January 15. The group typically meets the second Monday of each month.

Interested in Dungeons & Dragons but wished it was less time-consuming? Here is your chance to try the Index Card Role Playing Game (ICRPG). Join us virtually on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month while we play in this new format. The game play is shorter and more interactive, the rules are simpler, there is minimal math involved, and it’s still a great time gaming together! Perfect for first-timers or gamers with busy schedules. Come give it a try as RPG expert/Game Master, Jon Langer, leads you through an evening of tabletop gaming. Ages 14 and older, please. Twisted Stitchers is back in person! Join us for an informal and fun gathering centered around knitting and crochet. Twisted Stitchers will meet on the 2nd Monday of each month. 16 years and older, please. Registration is recommended so you receive an email reminder.

Come join us at this writers group that provides aspiring writers a forum for their literary work and feedback from their peers in a respectful and friendly environment. This is a chance for you to grow in your craft and help others improve in the art of writing. The group meets the first and third Monday of most months. If you have always wanted to learn the Italian language and to share this passion with people who live in this area, this is a great time to do it in the comfort and safety of your home and in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Italian for Beginners classes have successfully been offered in person at Fredricksen for more than 2 years by instructor Anna Maria Bertini Jones. The current situation has opened up the opportunity to explore online instruction options to make the learning experience even more effective and enjoyable. You will still be learning the basics of the Italian language through interactive online classes and group work, but it will also be possible to use a variety of online multimedia resources to develop basic conversation skills and get in touch with cultural topics like cuisine, art, movies, lifestyle, etc.

Classes are very easy to access. You will receive a Zoom link invitation; click on the link and you will be automatically directed to your classroom. During class time students will be learning and collaborating with the instructor’s help and direction. No specific technological skills are required. All you need is a computer/ laptop/tablet and a printer. Ages 16 and older. Cost: $100 for 10 classes. Students will be advised to also purchase a book online. Registration begins December 1 online, by phone, or in person at the library.
