Led by Yasmin Haut and musician friends, the Dances explore sacred phrases for many of the world’s great spiritual traditions combined with simple folk-dance movement. All are welcome to join as we focus on this simple practice to achieve greater understanding, forgiveness and trust. Wear comfortable clothing. No registration necessary.

This tale of the irresistible and unforgettable Mrs. Plansky, "a terrific character" (Stephen King), will lead her up and down coastal Florida and beyond in a brand-new, whirlwind adventure.

Join us for a musical celebration of the season with selections from The Praise Ringer Handbell Choir of the First United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg followed by harpist Louis Lynch.

Tom Waits is one of the most innovative and adventurous singers. composers and actors of the past fifty years. He has written more than 800 songs and Professor Morris will attempt to get through twenty-five of some of the more compelling pieces - some suitable for just listening and some suitable for singing along. Songs, background, stories, images are part of the presentation. Doug Morris teaches at West Chester University.

Walden by Henry David Thoreau 

This series of 18 essays published in 1854 was a record of Thoreau’s experiment in simple living on the northern shore of Walden Pond in eastern Massachusetts (1845–47). Walden is viewed not only as a philosophical treatise on labor, leisure, self-reliance, and individualism but also as an influential piece of nature writing. It is considered Thoreau’s masterwork.

Join us for a night of creativity and cinema. Kid's Paint Night will be followed by a drop in family movie. Kids are invited to participate in a movie-based guided painting before the family film starts. Films will be rated G or PG. Registration required.

Join us to learn the art technique used by our featured artist of the month. Miss Kayla will teach the technique, then you get to create your own art using that method. Bring your own inspiration and ideas!  

Recommended ages 8 to 12. Registration required.

We’re excited to launch Teens Teaching Tech — a new pilot program connecting local students with adult patrons who want a little extra confidence using today’s technology. Drop in and learn at your own pace. Local high school students will be on hand to provide friendly, supportive one-on-one assistance with smartphones, tablets, laptops, cloud tools, apps, and everyday digital tasks.
