Join our monthly roundtable discussion with other small, local business owners (less than 5 employees) to share valuable support and insight, considering the unique challenges that solopreneurs face! Learn the best styles and techniques to display your skill set and experience to potential employers. Learn about Applicant Tracking System (ATS) software that "reads" your resume and may be preventing you from hearing back from an employer. Please have a digital or hard copy of your resume available for up-to-date and targeted industry standards.

2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, 10 and 11 AM time slots, registration required--BCC Classroom 

Practice your interview skills with an HR professional! This 30-45 minute session will consist of a simulated interview for a position you are interested in and an evaluation offering strategies for improvement. Dress for the part, do your research and come practice your interview skills! 

Please be sure to include a brief description of or link to a job listing that you are interested in AND to email a resume (and cover letter and / or other supporting materials if you wish for them to be considered and evaluated) to frebiz@cumberlandcountylibraries.org at the time of registration. Choose your time when you REGISTER.

10 AM – 12 PM, BCC Classroom

Come to our OPEN CLASSROOM sessions—The BCC Classroom will be staffed during these times with instructors on hand to offer assistance, answer questions and help you learn how to use workplace, small business or personal use tools efficiently. This is a pilot program to meet patron needs, so come check us out and help to shape this exciting new offering! Register HERE or just walk in!
