The Oscars are almost here and we have your opportunity to see the Oscar-Nominated Short Films before the awards are given! These films are wildly popular, but often difficult to find. Look no further! Fredricksen Library gives you a chance to predict the winners before the Academy announces them. The Academy Awards takes place Sunday, March 12. Join us on Friday, March 3 as we view the nominees from the following categories:
1 pm - 4 pm - Documentary Short Films; total running time 166 minutes - REGISTER

Patriot Daughters of Lancaster

Join us as reenactors share documented stories of the Patriot Daughters of Lancaster, a ladies' aid society formed ten days after the firing on Ft. Sumter in 1861. The original group collected and organized the transport of food, clothing, and other comforts to Union troops, providing supplies to military hospitals and volunteering as nurses in Gettysburg after the 1863 battle. This program is held in cooperation with the AAUW (American Association of University Women). No registration necessary.

Join us as we welcome back Seasons to Fredricksen! The Lee siblings seek to not only pay homage to the rich tradition of Celtic and American folk music that they grew up in, but also to treat it as a living, breathing entity. The result is a constantly growing collection of original songs and tunes that are all at once both fresh and familiar and will surely put you in a joyous mood. What a perfect way to spend St. Patrick’s Day weekend! No registration necessary.

Moving Forward Book Group: What Just Happened: Notes on a Long Year
