The War Room: Military History Roundtable

mil1st Tuesday of each month, 6 pm - 8:30 pm
Small Meeting Room, Lower Level

Come and join your fellow military history aficionados in a meaningful discussion about battles and other military events ranging from circa 1000 BCE up to recent military history. The first half of the discussion will focus on the facts of the battle and the second half will be dedicated to opinions and conjectures about the battle. Everyone will be given equal time to participate in both halves of the discussion. We will wrap up the roundtable with a vote on the topic for the next session. The three priorities for this group are having fun, learning new things, and hopefully developing new friendships. Registration suggested, but not required. Ages 16+. *Topic: Battle of Hastings 1066

Holiday Harp & Handbells Concert

22 holiday harp7:00 pm - 8:30 pm in the Atrium, Upper Level
Get into the holiday spirit with a relaxing evening of carols and holiday music. We welcome Louis Lynch (harpist) and the First UMC Handbell Choir (their 15th year performing at the library!), who will delight your senses and transport you from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season with a variety of music to soothe and rest your soul. Sit and enjoy the concert or browse the stacks and take in the tranquil atmosphere. No registration necessary.
