CPR/AED & First Aid Certification Training Class

cpr9 am – 1 pm in the Community Room, Lower Level
Learn how to perform adult and child CPR, use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and basic first aid. Certifications are offered through the Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI) and are valid for 2 years. Certification cards will be issued upon completion of the training class. Cost for the class, instruction manual and certification card is $10 per person. Ages 12 and up. Each October brings our annual observance of the “discovery” of America by Christopher Columbus in 1492. Once hailed as a bold explorer and icon of Italian-American pride, Columbus is now condemned by some as a genocidal tyrant. Join historian John Maietta as he presents the true story of Columbus’ four fateful voyages to the New World, recounts the troubling circumstances of his final years in Spain, and examines the complex and controversial legacy he leaves behind today.
