Just starting your genealogy research and aren’t sure where to begin? Have you hit a roadblock in your research and need help? Or do you just want to learn about different genealogical resources? Then Genealogy Club is for you! During each session, we will spend time working on our individual research and have the opportunity to bounce our family history questions off of other club members. Occasionally, there will be themed meetings where we will discuss and try out different genealogical resources. You will need to bring a computer for each session to work on your research and to access the different resources. Registration required.  

November: Regular Meeting

Do you want to learn about different genealogical resources and try them out? Then Genealogy Club is for you! Each meeting will have a genealogical theme which we will discuss before we try out the resources related to the theme. During the meeting, you will have the opportunity to work on your research and bounce your family history questions off of other club members.  Building Emotional Connections in the Home 

Thursday, November 21, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Community Room 

A series of three workshops led by Rachel Andreoli, owner of Love Where you Live, LLC. Learn how to design your home to reflect your personality and life story. Topics include creating memory walls, selecting decor with personal significance, and organizing spaces for connection. 

1 pm, Community Room
Join in this gathering of embroidery enthusiasts for an afternoon of working on your own project, sipping some tea (tea is provided, bring your own mug!) and chatting with others. Learn some needlework tips, tricks and trends in the craft of embroidery. Don’t have a current project? Just come and be inspired to start one!

2 pm in the Community Room, Lower Level 
This round table discussion will apply the Socratic Method to help delve into philosophical discussions and give you an opportunity to share your opinions in a neutral and respectful way without interruption. Each month the group will choose a philosophical issue and everyone attending will have the opportunity to learn and discuss with others in an open and respectful environment. What a great way to expand your mind and reach further with your thoughts! Ages 18 +. The group typically meets the second Monday of each month.

10:00 am - 5:30 pm in the Lower Parking Lot, Walnut St. side 
Come and donate blood to the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank – the bus will be parked along Walnut Street near Fredricksen’s lower parking lot. Registration is inside the library’s lower level lobby. Call CPBB at 1-800-771-0059 with questions or to schedule an appointment; though walk-ins are welcome, donors with appointments will be taken first. A form of ID is required to donate.

Fredricksen Writes is for writers of all experience levels who want to be critiqued and in exchange provide critiques for other writers. This group is best suited for writers of memoirs, short stories, novels or essays. Join us to observe and learn what we’re all about. Space is limited; registration required.

Enjoy seeing a jigsaw puzzle come together? Just grab one or two from your own stash and join fellow enthusiasts in choosing, assembling and enjoying the selected puzzle – a 300-500 piece puzzle is suggested, one that can be assembled in the allotted time. Drop in when you can and leave when you need. No registration necessary.
