Who Are the Friends of Fredricksen? 
The Friends of Fredricksen Library are your neighbors-young and young-at-heart, working and retired-who are passionate about supporting the vital role the Library plays in our community. Through volunteering, advocacy, and fundraising, the Friends work hand-in-hand with Library staff to enrich services, sustain popular programs, and ensure Fredricksen continues to thrive. 

In 2024 alone, the Friends contributed $38,500 in financial support to the Library, a testament to the collective generosity, time, and talent of our members. 

How We Help 
The Friends contribute in many ways, including: 

• Fundraising for Library programs and staff support
• Volunteering time and skills for events and initiatives
• Advocating for public library funding and awareness

Every dollar raised and every hour volunteered directly benefits the Library and its patrons.

Volunteer Opportunities 
We welcome all levels of involvement! Here are just a few ways you can join the effort: 

• Sort books year-round or assist monthly at the donation station 
• Help set up, tear down, or assist at check-out during semi-annual book sales 
• Solicit and organize donations for our annual basket raffle 
• Join one of our ongoing committees: Membership, Communications/Social Media, Basket Raffle, or Book Sale 
• Brew and serve beverages and snacks at Coffee Corner throughout the year

Three Easy Ways to Join:

1. In Person 
   Pick up an application at the Library Circulation Desk. Complete and submit it with payment.
2. By Mail 
   Download and print the membership application. Fill it out and mail it along with your check or credit card information to the Library.
3. By Email 
   Download and complete the membership application. Email a scan or photo to sarah@friendsoffred.org  and Pay using PayPal (via the "Pay Membership Dues" button below) or include credit card information on the form.
