Handicap chess allows players of different experience levels to play a competitive game of chess. The more experienced player will start the game with fewer pieces. The greater the difference in experience, the greater the amount of removed pieces. Players can play regular chess if they prefer. Participants are asked to bring a chess set, if possible, but it is not required to participate. Participants who want to expand their horizons are welcome to try other games of strategy. Beginners are welcome. Feel free to drop in when you can and leave when you need to. No registration required. Ages 14+

Just grab one or two from your own stash and join fellow enthusiasts in choosing, assembling and enjoying the selected puzzle – a 300-500 piece puzzle is suggested, one that can be assembled in the allotted time. Drop in when you can and leave when you need to. No registration necessary.

If you’ve got an iPad and think that you’re not using it to its full potential, join experienced teacher James Gates in this face-to-face class to explore the many uses of the iPad that you may not know. Classes are 90 minutes, please plan to attend all 6 sessions. Space is limited--registration is required.
