PA Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) Overview

Join us at this workshop and Q&A session with The PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) and their innovative PA Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS). In this exciting new collaboration, the BCC will offer opportunities for entrepreneurs to grow and / or hone their ideas and their businesses. 

BOSS guides businesses through all stages of development — from planning and startup to operating and expanding. Whether you are an aspiring entrepreneur or existing business, BOSS provides complete, customer focused service. They help connect entrepreneurs and business owners with specific opportunities and partner networks for one-on-one counseling, training, and business assistance and work closely with colleagues across state government and economic development networks to gather the best resources to guide you through all stages of business development, including: 

• Details on planning a business, registration and permitting, hiring employees, finding financing, training, and more 

• Information for diverse businesses and training and best practices on important business topics including eCommerce 

• Connection to trusted partners and funding opportunities 

Come with whatever questions or concerns you have, in whatever stage of your business development you are in and learn about this excellent resource. Opportunities abound!

iPhone Basics Series--both classes have combined to the 11:30 am time slot

In this six-session class taught by James Gates, we’ll explore the iPhone’s settings, learn tips and tricks for contacts and text messages, and become more proficient in using the keyboard and Safari app (and look at the new iOS 18!). Learn how to take better pictures with the Camera, explore the Photos app features, and receive extra photo editing tips and tricks. Classes are 90 minutes, please plan to attend all 6 sessions. Space is limited--registration is required.

The Death Cafe

Third Tuesday of the Month, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. 

What is a Death Cafe? It is a safe, supportive, and informal gathering where people can chat openly about death, dying, and grief. The Café offers a space for sharing thoughts and feelings, asking questions, and connecting with others in your community, all while enjoying light refreshments like cake and drinks. Come as you are and feel welcome to participate in the conversation at your own comfort level. Facilitated by Philadelphia native Isaiah Troche, an End-of-Life Doula/Death Doula who also serves as a volunteer with Hospice of Central Pennsylvania. All ages welcome.
