Donna Ricketts, Penn State Extension Master Gardener of Cumberland County, will give an introduction on rain barrels followed by a presentation on Xeriscape Gardening. What is a xeriscape garden and what are the benefits of planting one? Learn the seven main principles of xeriscape gardening including: plan and design, soil preparation, efficient irrigation, plant selection, mulch, reduce turf area, and maintenance.
