A detailed discussion led by Lou Thieblemont, Captain (ret.), TWA & American Airlines and resident astronomer for Viking Cruise Line, on the history of the Hubble Space Telescope. See how the greatest astronomical invention changed everything we knew about the universe. How the work of dedicated, hardworking women astronomers in the 1890’s gave us today’s knowledge & understanding of space but got little or no recognition. Edwin Hubble was able to build on the painstaking work of the women astronomers and give us the present understanding of our universe.

Holly Conrady, Registered Dietitian at Albright LIFE in Enola provides strategies on how to balance enjoying your favorite holiday treats while continuing to follow an overall healthy eating regimen throughout the holiday season. She will provide tips and tricks as well as healthy holiday recipes and meal ideas the whole family will love.

The Beatles are arguably the most impactful and influential music group in history, combining rock and roll, pop, folk, soul, rhythm and blues, psychedelia, classical, avant-garde experiments, memorable ballads, all producing an endless stream of classic songs. The Beatles persistently pushed the boundaries of recorded popular music and recorded more than 213 songs. We will share and sing and share favorites, discuss background and history, with projected images and lyrics to assist in singing along.  All are welcome. Doug Morris, a professor at West Chester University, will be Magical Mystery Tour guide of Beatles classics.

Join Ann Fields, founder of Peaceful Poses Kids Yoga, for an adult slow flow yoga class. This class will explore yoga poses, breathing techniques and ways to deal with stress and anxiety. Ann’s 45-minute class is open to all levels and no experience is necessary. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle and yoga mat. Registration suggested but not required.

There’s something fun for everyone in the library’s stash of board games, card games, and other tabletop games. Or you can bring a favorite from home. Meet and play with other gamers or bring friends and family for an afternoon of logic, strategy, and fun. Ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. No registration necessary.

Just starting your genealogy research and aren’t sure where to begin? Have you hit a roadblock in your research and need help? Or do you just want to learn about different genealogical resources? Then Genealogy Club is for you! During each session, we will spend time working on our individual research and have the opportunity to bounce our family history questions off of other club members. Occasionally, there will be themed meetings where we will discuss and try out different genealogical resources. You will need to bring a computer for each session to work on your research and to access the different resources. REGISTER
