Ages 7-12
Registration Required for attending the workshops. Please visit the Children's Room to complete an application.
The New Cumberland Olde Towne Association is hosting a local LEGO® expo at the New Cumberland Public Library Foundation Hall. The creations on display are from members of Extra Piece LEGO User Group (EP-LUG), a group of adult fans of LEGO from around the world. On August 1st, workshop events will be held at 2pm, 3pm, and 4pm outside under the tent. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The workshops will allow participants to build anything they want, and their creations may go home with them. Members of the public who wish to only browse the displays and not attend the workshops do not have to register for the event.

Join our newest kids book club which features titles that were turned into films! Participants will meet for a discussion of the book and then stay for an optional screening of the film. This month’s pick will be Coraline by Neil Gaiman.

Your child’s imagination will come alive in this magical storytime through movement program based on The Sleeping Beauty brought to you by Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. Through these classic tales, the beauty of dance is blended with the rich sounds of music and the joy of reading. Children will learn movement and pantomime from The Sleeping Beauty ballet so they may understand how the story is told on stage. Children will explore concepts designed to stimulate their creativity and imagination while inspiring a love for reading and the arts.
