Celebrate the last day of National Poetry Month with awesome activities for the whole family! For younger kids, we will have LEGO Poetry challenges so you can literally “build” your own poem! For older kids, try out our Poetry Escape Room where you’ll have to solve poetry riddles & puzzles to find a secret prize! Masking is advised for all participants.
This is the final Farmers' Market on the Lawn for 2025! It's held every Saturday from May through October at the John Graham Library. You'll find local produce, plants, and handcrafted items. Spring is in full bloom! In partnership with Longwood Garden’s Community Read program, we’ll read their featured 2022 children’s title, We Planted a Tree by Diane Muldrow, and then make a craft to celebrate cherry blossom season! This activity will emphasize the beauty of trees in bloom.

Join the Friends of New Cumberland Public Library for their monthly book review program. In May, Charles Stone will review The Last King of America, the Misunderstood Reign of George III by Andrew Roberts on Tuesday, May 9 at 10:30 a.m.
Reviews, which are presented by the Friends of the New Cumberland Public Library, are held on the second Tuesday of the month from September through November and March through May. Reviews are free and open to the general public. No need to have read the book to attend the review.
