Teen Murder Mystery Party
In a sprawling manor in the town of Mayflower Falls, the Dread family is hosting their yearly Thanksgiving dinner for their neighbors. The Dreads plan to serve delectable food catered from none other than Dread Steakhouse. This is your invitation to the dinner on Saturday, November 15.
To pass the time until the feast is ready, the guests will catch up on the latest neighborhood gossip and play hilarious party games. Alas, the last year has been filled with treachery, scandal, and deceit. Many of the neighbors may not get along. The Dreads hope everyone can exist in harmony – at least until dessert hits the table.
Ages: This program is for those in grades 6-12 only.
Location: The Learning and Book Sale Center at 45 W. Allen St., Mechanicsburg

Discover how Harris’s entrepreneurial spirit, diplomatic skill, and deep ties with Indigenous communities helped lay the foundations for what would become the city of Harrisburg. Through in-depth research and engaging storytelling, Biser brings to life a critical yet often overlooked chapter in local and state history. As part of the New Cumberland Earth & Arts Festival, we are learning about the Aurora Borealis from speaker Lou Thieblemont. Also known as the Northern Lights, this naturally-occurring light display in the night sky is the result of solar winds. In olden times, the ancients were mystified, and historical battles were even impacted by their appearance in the sky. You’ll also learn about some sites and apps that alert you to the likelihood of seeing an Aurora.
