As part of our Daytime Academy at Fredricksen Library, we are offering language immersion conversation groups on a regular basis. All levels welcome. Some experience in the language is necessary. Our leaders will guide you through discussion, conversation and culture of your chosen language. No registration necessary.

Meetup with other LEGO mega-fans. We have loads of bricks and specialty pieces so you can create amazing builds. Each session will also feature a special Challenge build. This program is for tweens ages 9 - 12. Registration is open.

Fredricksen Library has teamed up with Penn State Master Gardeners of Cumberland County to bring you a series of workshops about creating a beautiful garden while preserving a healthy environment. This month's topic is The Twilight Garden. Night brings a new dimension to a garden. Flower blossoms shimmer in the moonlight, sweet fragrances hang in the air and for most us, the evening is a time to relax. Not so for the nocturnal pollinators who are beginning their work day. This presentation will provide a unique insight into the lives of these creatures as well as provide design ideas to create a healthy garden that glows.

Recognizing the ecological and economic importance of supporting pollinators and their habitats, Camp Hill Borough is working towards becoming a Bee City USA affiliate. Join Penn State Master Gardener Lauren Taylor and the borough committee members for Gardening with Nature: Bee Friendly, Plant This and Not That! to learn more about the borough's efforts and discover how you, too, can think globally and act locally to turn your garden into a pollinator-friendly zone. $5 fee.
