Interested in Dungeons & Dragons but wished it was less time-consuming? Here is your chance to try the Index Card Role Playing Game (ICRPG). Join us virtually on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month while we play in this new format. The game play is shorter and more interactive, the rules are simpler, there is minimal math involved, and it’s still a great time gaming together! Perfect for first-timers or gamers with busy schedules. Come give it a try as RPG expert/Game Master, Jon Langer, leads you through an evening of tabletop gaming. Ages 14 and older, please. Volunteers from the Harrisburg/West Shore Chess Club will be on hand to assist young chess players and match up competitors. Join us and have fun! Participants are asked to bring a chess set if possible, but not required. No registration required. Recommended Ages, 5-13.

Twisted Stitchers is back in person! Join us for an informal and fun gathering centered around knitting and crochet. Twisted Stitchers will meet on the 2nd Monday of each month. 16 years and older, please. Registration is recommended so you receive an email reminder. 

2 pm - 3:30 pm in the Community Room, Lower Level 
This round table discussion will apply the Socratic Method to help delve into philosophical discussions and give you an opportunity to share your opinions in a neutral and respectful way without interruption. Each month the group will choose a philosophical issue and everyone attending will have the opportunity to learn and discuss with others in an open and respectful environment. What a great way to expand your mind and reach further with your thoughts! Ages 18 and up, please. Registration begins December 15. The group typically meets the second Monday of each month.

6:30 pm - 8 pm in the Children's Library, Lower Level
Specially trained dogs from K-PETs will be at the library to listen to children read aloud. Bring a book or two and read to a dog for 15 minutes. This program is intended for children who may be shy or reluctant to read aloud to practice reading independently. Recommended Ages, 6-12. Registration is required.

Come join the Ladies of DIY, professional crafters, as they lead you through fun new winter projects! We'll have options for different projects. Basic supplies provided by the library. $10.00 per person, ages 16 and older. Register in person or on the phone beginning January 2.
