As part of New Cumberland’s Downtown Trick-or-Treat, the Library will be offering candy and crafts to any kids who dare to enter! Come join us for family-friendly fun to celebrate Halloween at the Library!
No registration is necessary! Children can drop in during party hours from 4 to 7 pm. There will be balloon animals, snacks, and crafts. Best of all, kids will “shop” for prizes earned by logging their reading and activities on Beanstack. (For those who can't attend the party, "shopping" will continue at the library during regular hours through August 22.) The library parking lot may be full. Join our newest kids book club which features titles that were turned into films! Participants will meet for a discussion of the book and then stay for an optional screening of the film. This month’s pick will be Coraline by Neil Gaiman.

Bring the whole family to the Library and game ‘til you drop! We will put out our exciting collection of programming board games that are not available for checkout. So don’t miss this special event!

A youth instructor from local fitness studio H2L will lead tweens & teens through poses and yoga flows that will encourage balance, flexibility, and healthy breathing techniques.

This summer we are opening our STEM lab, The Kunkel Creation Station, to families. Choose from 3 time slots and bring your curiosity – we’ll supply games, gadgets, machines and more. You may register up to 6 people and must include at least 1 adult or sibling over the age of 16 to lead your group. Staff will be on hand to assist. Registration required.

We will make shadow puppets and explore the science and characteristics of shadows. Be ready for some data collection exercises to explore proportions. Ages 9 - 12. .
