Nature’s Nursery Center for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation Education is a non-profit organization that provides medical care to injured, orphaned or ailing wild animals. Nature’s Nursery Nature's Nursery has 30 permanent residents! Join the Library to meet some of their live animal ambassadors, learn how they came to live at the center, and why they cannot be released back into the wild.

Junior paleontologists will first conduct a dig to discover a dinosaur, then create a dinosaur habitat complete with a volcano. This STEAM activity is designed for younger children; ages 5-8 only please. Registration is required and limited.

Design and build a hydraulic claw that works just like the games in an arcade! Experiment with hydraulics and engineering with this STEAM kit. Decide between an accordion, chopsticks, or pincer style claw, assemble; then test.

Move the upper cylinder and watch your claw open and close below. We’ll provide a comprehensive guide to get you started, but the final claw design is up to you. Can you design a claw to pick up specific objects (worms, marshmallows, balls)? This project is for kids ages 8-12 only, please. Registration is required and limited.
