A tiny art show is a community art project bringing miniature art to unique spaces. Just register for your appropriate category and then pick up your Grab & Go Bag with all the supplies you will need to make a miniature piece of art! Bags will include paint, paint brushes, a mini easel, a mini canvas and a small piece of air-dry clay. You can paint, sculpt, or both! Near the end of January, we will collect your art to display in our Mini Art Show where you can win an Amazon gift card! We will have 3 categories: Adult, Teen, and Child. Registration begins December 1! Cost: $3 per entry.

Bright Star Touring Theatre, a national professional touring theatre company based in Asheville, NC is going virtual with their heralded production of Struggle for Freedom: The Life of Dr. King. This inspiring production has received nationwide acclaim. Struggle for Freedom is a 45-minute production that seeks to honor the American Civil Rights Movement. The life and work of Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. provides the backdrop to scenes that recreate the Montgomery bus boycott, the March on Washington, the Woolworth Sit-ins and much more. With excerpts of famous speeches, Civil Rights era songs and a variety of characters, this moving production is best appreciated by grades 3 through adult. This LIVE production will be followed by time for Q&A with the actors. Registration NOW OPEN and is required for Zoom link.

We’re all spending a little more time in the digital world right now, so why not learn some new skills and have fun along the way? Join us weekly to learn new digital skills like making memes, turning a story into emojis, make your own comic strips, and more! Each month we will read about an American Girl character, then meet to discuss each girl. During our meetings we will get to know each other and our favorite American Girls. Bring your American Girl or friend (Our Generation, etc.) doll with you to participate in activities. Recommended Ages, 8 - 12. Registration required.

Create and design a fun craft based on well-known fairy tales! Recommended Ages, 4-8. Registration begins June 15 and is required for Zoom link. This program will be pre-recorded.

Miss Olga and her son Lucas (The Aquarium Expert) will share how he set up the library’s fish tank and what it takes to maintain it. He will introduce the fish and then participants will have the opportunity to vote on two of their names. Also, test your knowledge with some fish trivia! Recommended Ages 10 and up. Registration begins July 15 and is required for Zoom link.

Join us for one of our favorite stories by Jon J. Muth, creator of the Zen-master panda named Stillwater, and create a peaceful umbrella craft perfect for welcoming spring showers. Recommended Ages, 4 – 8. Registration opens April 1 and is required for Zoom link.

Enjoy a reading from the classic French tale by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, and then make a beautiful hot air balloon craft to inspire the explorers in all of us! Recommended Ages, 5 - 10. Registration required for Zoom link and begins March 1. Bag available March 13.
