6:30 pm in the Community Room
Volunteers from the Harrisburg/West Shore Chess Club will be on hand to assist young chess players and match up competitors. Join us and have fun! Participants are asked to bring a chess set, if possible but not required. Recommended ages 5 to 13. No Registration Required.

Join us in the Kunkle Creation Station to learn about the software engineers use! Children will first be taught about computer-aided design, or CAD, then be given a design challenge using computers. Then, children will be shown how CAD can be used to create real-world objects using a 3D printer! Join us for a fun demonstration and learn about CAD. Sign up now; spots are limited! 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the Kunkel Creation Station
Join us in the Kunkel Creation Station as we learn the language computers speak and the way they speak it! Children will first be taught about binary–the base-two system computers use to function. Then, they will break out into teams and “code” their teammates to complete a task! The key will be thinking like a computer! Sign up now; spots are limited! Recommended ages 10-12. Saturday, September 6 at 9:30 am. Grandparents are invited to join their grandchildren for a celebratory storytime! We will read books, sing songs and rhymes, and make a craft for you to enjoy on Grandparent's Day and all year long! Our organized activities will be followed by a fun open play time in our play area for all ages to enjoy! This program is geared toward grandparents and children aged 0-7 years old. Meet up with other LEGO mega fans for free building and themed challenge builds. We supply all of the bricks – you bring your imagination! This program is for tweens ages 9-12. No registration necessary.

This is LEGO taken to the next level! We will be using LEGO SPIKE and Bric-Q Motion kits to build moving sets. This program is for tweens ages 9-12. Registration is required and begins May 1.

Calling all Pokemon superfans! Meetup to play TCG or Pokemon Go and trade cards. We will have snacks, contests and other surprises. Whether you are just beginning your Pokemon journey or are a seasoned trainer you need to be here! Feel free to bring along your device including tablets, Switches and phones. This program is for Tweens and Teens ages 9-18. Parents may stay to play with their children. Adults without a child will not be admitted.

Then, we will reverse engineer a paper airplane launcher so that it hits a target (safely of course)! Children will work in groups of 3-4. Join us in the Kunkel Creation Station as we take our Sphero programmable robots and work through obstacles! These little robots roll around and can be coded; if you’re familiar with Scratch, these are quite similar! Four groups will code their robots to beat the obstacles. The winning group wins a prize!
